Pastor’s Pondering – July 12, 2017

Sitting here,

I hear the birds,

I feel the breeze,

I see the tree the power company

Pruned, her towering crown removed

So that she grows thick and lush

But not stately,

Noticeable only for her oddness.

And yet in the heat of day

I have parked my car in the

Comfort of her shade

While I labored in the sun,

Cheered by the birds singing

From her boughs,

And I cherish her-

And even chuckle

At her oddness.

And there she grows,

As best she can,

Oblivious to it all.
